Yorkshire’s Luxury Tipi Provider
Frame & Tailor was born out of our collective love for events, weddings and parties. Over the years we have been lucky enough to work on some of the best events in the UK, from beautiful weddings in our homeland of Yorkshire. To vast projects for large corporate companies spanning across multiple weeks, different locations and some tricky challenges including putting a tipi on the roof of a Birmingham hotel. The challenge is what keeps us going, we know each and everyday that every event is unique and the looks on our clients faces once we have created their dream, makes coming into work everyday a pleasure.
We wanted to try answer some of our most common questions below;
Where are you based?
We are based in Yorkshire & Scotland and have warehouses in both locations. However we are a Nationwide Tipi hire company and have worked all over the UK including England, Wales, Scotland, Isle of Man and the Isle of White.
Which type of Tipi’s or Teepee’s do you use?
We only use Tentipi products as they are the original and in our opinion the best. Over recent years there have been many imitation products coming onto the market and whilst cheaper they to us feel too mass produced and industrial. Our Tipis use genuine spruce poles each one different and telling it’s own story, the competitor products are milled and all of the exact same height and length. They also tend to feature quite a lot of metal elements which ultimately ruins that rustic look many of our clients want.
What furniture and added extras do you offer?
When creating your initial quotation, we tend to offer our tents, flooring, lighting, furniture and dancefloor for your event. We can also provide festoon walkways, both a round oak bar or a reclaimed wooden bar, our farmhouse tables in both a long and round. We are also more than happy to help with any other bespoke items you may require for your event, just get in touch and we can use our supplier network to try and get everything you need.
Who provides the power for our event?
We work with a network of generator suppliers who can provide all the power you need for your Sperry or Tipi event. We liaise with your 3rd party suppliers such as your band, caterers, bar and make sure you have enough power. If you want to provide your own power that is absolutely fine we can provide you with the electrical draw we require for you to liaise with your own company or electrician.
What does your matting look like?
We only use PapaFlex matting in our Tipi and Sperry Tents, having worked with and seen many flooring options over the years we have no doubt this is the best. This is not only because the flooring is easy to install, durable and reusable. We feel aesthetically the natural sisal colour of PapaFlex is the perfect compliment to our Sperry Tents and Tipis. Some companies choose to use a more traditional coir matting however we have found this product to be a little more susceptible to wear and tear, we also are not as keen on the dominant colour choices.
